Instructions
Select the appropriate size of cotton roll based on the dimensions of the operative area. Use tweezers to grasp the cotton roll and place it around the operative area (e.g., mandibular buccal groove, maxillary palatal side) to isolate saliva. Replace the cotton roll promptly once it becomes soaked to maintain a dry operative area. If used for hemostasis, instruct the patient to bite down lightly on the cotton roll for 30–40 minutes before removal. After treatment, ensure the cotton roll is completely removed to prevent accidental ingestion.
